Owen Jones was a Victorian architect designer and renowned commentator on decorative ornament. His book The Grammar of Ornament published in 1856 was a stunningly illustrated catalogue encompassing every decorative style and influence from around the world. Owen Jones wallpaper depicting a simple fleur de lys a quintessential Jones motif first appeared in the Morris & Co. Volume III collection.
