1. Introduction

1.1. The terms and conditions (together with our privacy policy and cookies policy tell you information about us and set out the legal terms and conditions on which we sell products listed on our website www.modern-2-interiors.co.uk (“Website”) to you.

1.2. These Terms will apply to any contract for the sale of Products by us to you. Please read these Terms carefully and make sure that you understand them before ordering Products from our Website.

1.3. If you do not agree with these terms and conditions, we request that you don't continue to use this site.

2. Understanding these Terms and Conditions

2.1. When certain words and phrases are used in these Terms, they have specific meanings (these are known as "defined terms"). You can identify these defined terms because they start with capital letters (even if they are not at the start of a sentence). Where a defined term is used, it has the meaning given to it in the paragraph of these Terms where it was defined. You can find these meanings by looking at the sentence where the defined term is in bold text, and is included in brackets and speech marks.

2.2. When we refer to "we", "us" or "our" we mean Modern 2 Interiors. When we refer to "you" or "your" or "the Buyer" we mean you, the person buying Products from our Website.

2.3. We have used headings to help you understand these Terms and to easily locate information. These Terms, and any Contract between you and us, are only available in the English language. We will not file copies of the Contract between you and us so we recommend that you print or save a copy of these Terms for your records (but please note that we may amend these Terms from time to time.

3.1 We are Modern 2 Interiors & we operate this website.Our office and principal place of business is 189 - 191 Middlewood Road, Sheffield, S6 4HD.Our VAT Number is 381469471.

3.2. If you would like to contact us, please use either the contact form on our about us page of our website or we can be contacted via email at: info@modern-2-interiors.co.uk

3.3 If we have to get in contact with you we will write to you by email - the email supplied in your order will be the contact email that we use to get in touch with you.

4. Our Products

4.1. We are committed to supplying high quality products. Each products individual detailed information is included on the product pages on our website.

4.2. We have made every effort to display the Products as accurately as electronic media will allow, however the images of the Products on our Website are for illustrative purposes only. We cannot guarantee an exact match of the on-screen appearance to the actual Products, which may vary slightly from those images depending on your screen settings and resolution.

4.3. Each Product is sold subject to its description. We will take all reasonable care to ensure that all details and descriptions of Products are correct at the time when the relevant information was entered on to the Website system. Although we aim to keep the Website as up to date as possible, the information, including Product descriptions, appearing on the Website at a particular time may not always reflect the position at the exact moment you place an order. The dimensions given are written for your guidance. Before ordering, please ensure that there is adequate room to move Products through any doorways, windows and restricted passageways.

4.4 All Products shown on our Website are subject to availability. If a Product you have ordered is temporarily unavailable or discontinued by the manufacturer we will inform you by email as soon as possible and offer to cancel your order in which case we will provide you with a full refund.

4.5. For some of the Products available to purchase on our website, we offer the ability to purchase samples, samples are for illustrative purposes only.Product types which have the option of a sample to be ordered are: Fabric, Wallpaper, Trimmings, Paint.Sample sizes are determined by the manufacturers of the products to which we have no control to change.

5. Changes To An Order

5.1. If you wish to make a change to your order you must contact us via email: info@modern-2-interiors.co.uk. We will let you know if the change is possible. If it is possible, we will let you know about any changes to the price of the Products, the timing for delivery or anything else which would be necessary as a result of your requested change and ask you to confirm if you wish to go ahead with the change.

6. Eligibility

6.1. You may only purchase Products from our Website if you are at least 18 years old.

6.2. When you register or buy Products through our Website, you will be required to provide certain information including your name, phone number, email address and an address for delivery of the Products. You will also be required to provide valid details of a credit or debit card which you are legally entitled to use. We reserve the right to request additional evidence or proof of billing information where we think this is necessary. You confirm that all information you provide to us at any time is true, accurate and complete. If the amount due from you for your order cannot be debited or charged to the credit or debit card you have provided, for whatever reason, your order will be cancelled.

7. Buying Products From Us

7.1 Our order process on our Website allows you to check and amend any errors before submitting your order to us. Please take the time to read and check your order at each page of the order process. In particular, please check the quantities of each of the Products in your order.

7.2. By clicking the “Complete Order" button you are committing to buy and pay for the Products in your order. This is you to entering into a Contract with us to buy the Products in your order. The Contract is subject to these Terms when placing your order.

7.3. After you place an order, you will receive an email from us acknowledging that we have received your order and confirming the Products ordered, delivery option chosen, delivery address and any special instructions ("Order Confirmation"). Only the Products listed in the Order Confirmation are included in the Contract between you and us. If there are any errors in the Order Confirmation, please contact us as soon as possible by email: info@modern-2-interiors.co.uk.

7.4. We only supply the Products from our Website for domestic and private use. You may not buy Products from our Website for business and/or resale purposes.

8. Product Prices & Delivery Charges

8.1 The prices of the Products will be as quoted on our Website from time to time. We take reasonable care to ensure that the prices of Products are correct at the time when the relevant information was entered onto the system. However, it is always possible that, despite our efforts, some of the Products on our Website may be incorrectly priced. If we discover a mistake or error in the price of the Products you have ordered we will contact you to inform you of this error and we will give you the option of continuing to purchase the Products at the correct price or cancelling your order. We do not have to provide the Products to you at a lower price where we have made an obvious pricing error. We will not process your order until we have your instructions. If we are unable to contact you using the contact details you provided during the order process, we will treat your order as cancelled.

8.2 The prices of the Products do not include delivery charges. We will advise you of the delivery costs during the order process.

9. Promotional Codes

9.1 We may offer certain promotions in relation to particular Products for eligible customers from time to time. If you have a promotional code, please ensure that you enter it where prompted on the payment page during the order process. If your promotional code qualifies, your deduction will be displayed in the payment summary.

9.2 Promotional Codes cannot be redeemed once an order has been placed and contract agreed once you have clicked “Complete Order”.

10. How To Pay

10.1 All except payment methods are confirmed in the footer of our site - the payment methods available are: Visa, Paypal, MasterCard, Amex, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Shop Pay.

10.2. By ordering Products from us through our Website, you authorise us to perform credit and anti-fraud checks on you and the payment method that you have provided. These checks may be required, amongst other things, to verify your identity, to validate your credit or debit card, to obtain an initial credit or debit card authorisation and/or to authorise individual purchases. You authorise us to disclose information provided by you, including personal information, to third parties such as banks and the providers of credit reports for the purposes of these checks, and accept that such parties may keep a record of that information. You also agree that we may make the information we receive from such checks available to third parties including fraud prevention and credit reference agencies. We reserve the right to put in place additional payment security systems from time to time.

10.3. If the amount due from you for your order cannot be debited or charged, for whatever reason, your order may be cancelled (we will notify you of this using the contact details you provided during the order process).

10.4 Prices shown on this our website are inclusive of VAT (Where applicable) at the current rates.

10.5. All Prices are shown in Pounds Sterling unless otherwise specified.

11. Delivery

11.1 Your order will be delivered to you by us or our delivery partner, and, unless there is an event outside of our control, we will take reasonable steps to meet the delivery time frame set out on our “Delivery, Returns & Faults” page of our website or as otherwise agreed.

11.2. Delivery will be completed when the Products are delivered to the address stated in the Order Confirmation (so please make sure that the delivery details you provide are accurate as we cannot be responsible for any delayed or failed deliveries as a result of your error).

11.3 You are responsible for making suitable arrangements to receive your delivery. Please make sure you or someone instructed by you is able to take delivery of the Products.

11.4 Any delivery time frame quoted for the delivery of Products are approximate only, we shall not be liable for any delay in delivery of goods however caused.

11.5. Modern 2 Interiors is not liable for cancelled decorators fees as a result of any delay in delivery as all delivery time frames are approximate quotes only. We advise not to book a decorator until you have received your order.

11.6. You “The Buyer” are responsible on receipt of deliver to check the entirety of your order for faults or defects, in the unfortunate event that your order has been damaged in transit or a fault found - please contact us via email: info@modern-2-interiors.co.uk

11.7. The ownership of Products supplied by us will only be transferred to you once all sums due to us have been paid in full and, until paid, we retain the right to repossess the Products.

11.8. Refusal or Rejection of delivery by you from us or from one of our designated delivery partners which results in the items being returned to the supplier is deemed an unauthorised return - as such a 30% handling fee will be deducted from your refund. We request all customers confirm their intention to reject or refuse delivery with “us” prior to the buyer taking the action.

11.9. Any delivery time frame quoted for the delivery of Products are approximate only and this time frame does not begin until the items have been dispatched from us and not from when the Buyer has clicked on “Complete Order”

12. Cancellation Period

12.1. As the buyer you are entitled to cancel any contract completed with us at any time before the item has been despatched by us. As we process orders straight away we request that you make all reasonable effort to cancel your order within 1 hour of the order being placed which you wish to cancel. Please notify us with your wish to cancel by contacting us via email: info@modern-2-interiors.co.uk.
We are unable to cancel your order if the items have been dispatched as such rules and exclusions from "13. Returns" apply.

13. Returns

13.1. As outlined in in The Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, Modern 2 Interiors operates a 14 days return policy, this means that you have 14 days from the day after the order is receipted by the customer in which to request cancellation of your order for a refund, cancellation requires the whole order set out in the order confirmation which is the legal contract between us and you to be returned. To cancel your order please contact us at info@modern-2-interiors.co.uk - 

13.2. Once we have confirmed your cancellation request, you the Buyer then has 14 days in which to return your order to us.

13.3 The carriage cost of returning your cancelled order to us is at the expense of the you the buyer and will not be reimbursed.

13.4. As outlined in The Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 items which are bespoke or made to your order/specification are non-returnable, this includes all fabrics & trimmings that you order from our website, as you the buyer have selected a bespoke length to be cut to meet your requirements, in addition Paints are also mixed to your requirement and therefore non-returnable.
We are unable to except returns on Murals or Wallpapers sold by the metre as these items cut to your bespoke specification

13.5. For items to be eligible for return the items must be unused and the packaging to remain intact:
13.5.1. Whereby the cellophane has been removed from the product deems it as used and not eligible for return.
13.5.2. All homeware (this includes but is not limited to: Cushions, Ready Made Curtains, Tie Backs, Towels, Bedding, Tiebacks) items which arrived sealed to which have you the buyer have then removed from their packaging are not eligible for return as the item is classed as used due to hygiene reasons.
13.5.3. All Adhesives whereby you the Buyer have opened the seal are not eligible for return.
13.6. All Samples for Fabric, Wallpaper & Paint are not eligible for return or refund - unless the item has not been received, to which we will refund you in full.If you have not received your sample/s please get in touch via email: info@mondern-2-interiors.co.uk

13.7: Restocking Fee:

Restocking fee's will not apply if under the "right to cancel" period outlined in the Consumer Contract Regulations 2013.

13.7.1: Wallpaper returns are subject to a restocking fee .
The restocking fee is 30% of the original order value, this amount will be deducted from your refund before processing the refund back to the original payment method.
The restocking fee and refund amount after this deduction will be confirmed via email on receipt of a customers request to return the wallpaper/s.
13.7.2: Purchasing Errors: the restocking fee applies to all orders where it has been confirmed by the buyer that the items ordered have been purchased in error and to which have already been dispatched.
13.7.3: Refusal or Rejection of delivery:Returns as a result of Refusal or Rejection of delivery by you from us or from one of our designated delivery partners which results in the items being returned to the supplier is deemed an unauthorised return - as such a 30% handling fee will be deducted from your refund.As the order has already been dispatched by us or our supplier then the restocking fee’s outlined in 13.7 take affect.
13.7.4: All Rugs returns are subject to a 30% restocking fee.The restocking fee is 30% of the original order value, this amount will be deducted from your refund before processing the refund back to the original payment method.The restocking fee and refund amount after this deduction will be confirmed via email on receipt of a customers request to return the rug/s.
13.7.5: All homeware products from brands: Studio G, Clarke & Clarke, Sophie Allport, Emma Shipley, Orla Kiely which are eligible for return as they are deemed unopened or sealed will require you the buyer to return these to us at your own expense - a return stocking fee of 30% is applicable.

13.8: Methods Of Return Related To The Return Of Your Order:

13.8.1: WALLPAPER: Whereby you wish to cancel your order which contains 3 or more rolls of the following brands: Sanderson, Clarke & Clarke, Studio G, Morris & Co, Harlequin, SCION, ROMO, Villa Nova, Kirkby Design, Mark Alexander, Zinc we will arrange the collection and return of your order.

13.8.2: WALLPAPER: Whereby you wish to cancel your order which contains 5 or more rolls of the following brands: Cole & Son, we will arrange the collection and return of your order.

13.8.3: WALLPAPER: Whereby you wish to cancel your order that contains brands which have lesser quantities than outlined in sections 13.8.1 & 13.8.2 or all over brands, then you the buyer are required to return the items to us at your own expense, which will not be reimbursed.

13.8.4: HOMEWARE: All Homeware products are to be returned directly to us at the expense of you the buyer and will not be reimbursed.

13.10. We request you the Buyer to make every effort to return the items in an unused & resalable condition therefore we ask that you package the return items adequately, Once products are receipted by us, we will then visually inspect the condition of the items.We may reduce your refund of the price (excluding delivery costs) to reflect any reduction in the value of the goods, if this has been caused by your handling them in a way which would not be permitted in a shop. If we refund you the price paid before we are able to inspect the goods and later discover you have handled them in an unacceptable way, you must pay us an appropriate amount.

14. Damage & Faults

14.1 On receipt of the delivery of your order we request that you the buyer makes all possible effort to inspect the entirety of your order in full for faults or damages. It is your responsibility to undertake these checks as soon as you receive your items.
In the event that your receive an item which is faulty or damaged please contact us straight away via email:info@modern-2-interiors.co.uk
Include a description of the fault or damage, your original order number and with photographic evidence.
At which point we will contact our suppliers to raise an enquiry with them regarding the fault or damage to get a resolution.
We will then contact you back regarding a refund or replacement of the defective or damaged item.

14.2 We reserve the right to refuse to issue a refund/replacement item and to recover the cost of the returns delivery from you in the event that the item is found to have suffered damage after delivery or has been misused or used other than in accordance with the instructions or if the problem is due to normal wear and tear.


14.2.1 Wallpaper Faults - wallpaper faults must be reported to us prior to application on a surface, adhesive application or cutting.

14.3. Modern 2 Interiors is not liable or responsible for decorators fees as a result of a defective or damaged product.

15. Exchanges

15.1 Modern 2 Interiors does operate an exchange service, all items must be intact (must not have been used/unsealed/opened, as this determines the product as being used) and in their original packaging.
15.1.1. Fabrics cannot be exchanged

15.2. To request an exchange please contact us at info@moder-2-interiors.co.uk - please provide all your order information along with the item you would like to exchange to including the SKU of the product/s - enquiries without the SKU will lead to a delay in the processing of your exchange, as we cannot action this without it.

15.3. All exchanges are subject to a 15% handling fee (15% of your original order value) plus £7.50 delivery. The handling fee plus delivery is set by our suppliers to which Modern 2 Interiors gains no monetary value.

15.4. Products which have been ordered in error by you the Buyer, will also incur the 15% handling fee plus £7.50 delivery. You will be informed of this cost via email and invoiced if any payment is required in order to fulfil your exchange request.

15.5. Exchanges can only take place on a like for like basis - this means the replacement quantity of the exchange product must match the quantity requested for the new product.

16. Changes to terms of service

16.1 You can review the most current version of the Terms of Service at any time at this page. We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to update, change or replace any part of these Terms of Service by posting updates and changes to our website. It is your responsibility to check our website periodically for changes. Your continued use of or access to our website or the Service following the posting of any changes to these Terms of Service constitutes acceptance of those changes.

17. Using our website

17.1 Your use of our Website is governed by these Terms. By using our Website, you confirm that you accept these Terms and that you agree to comply with them. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use our Website.

17.2 We do not guarantee that our Website, or any content on it, will always be available or be uninterrupted. Access to our Website is permitted on a temporary basis. We may suspend, withdraw, discontinue or change all or any part of our Website without notice. We will not be liable to you if for any reason our Website is unavailable at any time or for any period.

17.3 We are the owner or the licensee of all intellectual property rights in our Website, and in the material published on it. Those works are protected by copyright laws and treaties around the world. All such rights are reserved. You may print off one copy, and may download extracts, of any page(s) from our Website for your personal use but you must not use any part of the content on our Website for commercial purposes.
