1. Introduction

1.1 These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”), together with our Privacy Policy and Cookies Policy, set out the legal terms on which Modern 2 Interiors (“we”, “us”, “our”) sells products (“Products”) through our website www.modern-2-interiors.co.uk (“Website”) to you.

1.2 These Terms apply to any contract for the sale of Products by us to you.

1.3 By placing an order through our Website, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.

2. Interpretation

2.1 When we refer to “you” or “your”, we mean the individual consumer purchasing Products from our Website.

2.2 Headings are for convenience only and do not affect interpretation.

2.3 These Terms are available in the English language only.

3.1 We are Modern 2 Interiors. Our principal place of business is 189–191 Middlewood Road, Sheffield, S6 4HD.

4. Eligibility and Use

4.1 You must be at least 18 years old to place an order.

4.2 We sell Products for domestic and private use only. Products may not be purchased for business, trade, or resale purposes.

4.3 All orders placed through this Website are accepted and processed strictly on a business-to-consumer (B2C) basis.

The inclusion of a business name, trade name, company name, or contractor details in the billing or delivery information does not change the nature of the contract, which remains a consumer contract governed by consumer law.

We do not accept orders on a business-to-business basis and do not offer business pricing, VAT re-invoicing, trade terms, or remedies associated with commercial contracts.

By placing an order, you confirm that you are purchasing as a consumer and not in the course of a business, trade, or profession.

5. Our Products

5.1 We take reasonable care to ensure that Product descriptions and information are accurate at the time they are published.

5.2 Images are for illustrative purposes only. Colours and finishes may vary depending on screen settings.

5.3 Dimensions, quantities, and suitability are provided for guidance only. You are responsible for ensuring Products are suitable for your requirements and that sufficient quantities are ordered, particularly for wallpaper sold by the roll, by the metre, or as murals or panelled designs.

5.4 Samples are provided for guidance only. We do not accept returns of samples as a matter of policy. This does not affect your statutory rights where a sample is faulty or not as described.

6. Orders and Contract Formation

6.1 Our order process allows you to review and amend your order before submission.

6.2 By clicking “Complete Order”, you make an offer to purchase the Products.

6.3 A legally binding contract is formed when we accept your order and issue an Order Confirmation email.

7. Contracting Party and Billing Details

7.1 The contract is formed with the individual named in the billing details provided at checkout and is treated as a consumer contract, regardless of whether a business name, trade name, company name, or contractor details are included in the billing or delivery information.

7.2 Billing details, including the contracting party name, cannot be amended after an order has been placed.

7.3 Orders placed in a personal name cannot be retrospectively converted into business purchases or re-invoiced for VAT purposes.

7.4 Customers are responsible for ensuring billing details are correct at the time of ordering.

8. Prices and Payment

8.1 All prices for Products are shown in Pounds Sterling (£) and include VAT where applicable at the prevailing rate.

8.2 Delivery Charges
The prices of the Products do not include delivery charges. Any applicable delivery costs will be clearly displayed and confirmed during the order process before you complete your purchase.

8.3 We accept payment using the methods displayed on our Website at the time of ordering.

8.4 By placing an order, you authorise us to charge the payment method provided for the total amount shown at checkout. If payment cannot be authorised or is subsequently reversed, we reserve the right to cancel the order and notify you using the contact details provided.

8.5 Pricing Errors
While we take reasonable care to ensure that all prices shown on our Website are accurate, errors may occasionally occur.
If we discover an error in the price of any Products you have ordered, we will contact you as soon as reasonably possible and give you the option of continuing with your order at the correct price or cancelling it for a full refund.
We are not obliged to supply Products at an incorrect price where the pricing error is obvious and unmistakable.
If we are unable to contact you, we will treat the order as cancelled and issue a full refund.

9. Promotional Codes

9.1 Promotional codes may be offered from time to time, subject to any specific terms stated at the time of issue.

9.2 Promotional codes must be entered at checkout. Valid discounts will be shown before payment is completed.

9.3 Promotional codes cannot be applied retrospectively once an order has been placed and a contract formed.

9.4 Promotional codes have no cash value and may be withdrawn or amended at any time.

9.5 Promotional codes may be limited to one use per customer or per order unless stated otherwise.

10. Delivery

10.1 Orders will be delivered by us or our delivery partners. Any delivery or dispatch times shown are estimates only unless expressly agreed otherwise.

10.2 Unless a different timeframe is expressly agreed, Products will be delivered within 30 days of Order Confirmation in accordance with UK consumer law.

10.3 Delivery is completed when Products are delivered to the address stated in the Order Confirmation. We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by incorrect delivery information provided by you.

10.4 You are responsible for making suitable arrangements to receive delivery.

10.5 We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from delivery delays. Customers are advised not to book decorators, installers, builders, or other trades until Products have been received.

10.6 On receipt of delivery, you should inspect your order as soon as reasonably possible and notify us of any transit damage or faults at info@modern-2-interiors.co.uk.

10.7 During peak periods, public holidays, supplier shutdowns, or seasonal closures (including the Christmas and New Year period), delivery and dispatch schedules may be affected.

Customers should always refer to our dedicated Delivery page on the Website for the most up-to-date delivery information.

Delivery information provided in order confirmations or other automated communications is generic and may not reflect temporary changes to delivery schedules.

Nothing in this clause affects your statutory rights, including your right to cancel if delivery does not take place within the timeframe required by UK consumer law.

11. Compensation and Consequential Losses

11.1 We do not offer compensation or goodwill payments for delivery delays beyond the remedies required by UK consumer law.

11.2 We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including loss of income, loss of profit, loss of revenue, or third-party costs such as decorator, installer, builder, or contractor fees.

11.3 Customers are advised not to book decorators, installers, builders, or other trades until Products have been received.

11.4 Nothing in this section affects your statutory rights.

11.5 Subject to your statutory rights, our total liability to you in connection with any contract shall not exceed the total price paid for the Products to which the claim relates.

12. Right to Cancel

12.1 You have the right to cancel your order within 14 days from the day after you receive your goods, unless an exception applies.

12.2 To cancel, you must notify us by email at info@modern-2-interiors.co.uk.

12.3 You then have a further 14 days to return eligible items.

13. Bespoke and Made-to-Order Products

13.1 The right to cancel does not apply to goods made to your specifications or clearly personalised.

13.2 This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Printed-to-order wallpaper
  • Per-metre wallpaper
  • Wallpaper murals or panelled designs
  • Mixed-to-order paint
  • Products cut or produced to order (including all fabrics and trimmings)

13.3 These Products are non-returnable unless faulty or not as described.

14. Wallpaper Returns and Quantities

14.1 Wallpaper may be sold by the roll, by the metre, or as murals or panelled designs.

14.2 We do not accept returns of part-orders, surplus quantities, or leftover wallpaper where the correct product has been supplied.

14.3 Wallpaper returns are only accepted for the order in full, subject to statutory cancellation rights.

14.4 Customers are responsible for calculating correct quantities using the technical information provided prior to purchase.

15. Returns and Refunds

15.1 Returned items must be unused, undamaged, and returned in original packaging where practicable.

15.2 We may deduct from any refund an amount reflecting loss in value caused by handling beyond what is necessary to inspect the goods.

15.3 Return carriage costs are the responsibility of the customer unless the goods are faulty or incorrect.

15.4 Refunds will be issued using the original payment method unless otherwise agreed.

15.5 Refunds will be made within 14 days of receiving the returned goods or evidence of return, whichever is earlier.

15.6 Where cancellation is exercised under the Consumer Contracts Regulations, we will refund the cost of the Products and standard delivery charges (if paid). Enhanced delivery options are non-refundable.

16. Faulty or Damaged Goods

16.1 If goods are faulty, damaged, or not as described, you are entitled to remedies under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

16.2 Please notify us as soon as reasonably possible after delivery, providing order details and photographic evidence where applicable.

16.3 Wallpaper faults must be reported prior to installation or cutting. Fabric faults must be reported prior to cutting.

16.4 We are not responsible for third-party costs (including decorator, installer, builder, or contractor fees) incurred as a result of faulty or damaged goods.

17. Risk and Ownership

17.1 Products are your responsibility from the time they are delivered to the address in your Order Confirmation.

17.2 Ownership of the Products passes to you once full payment has been received.

18. Exchanges

18.1 We do not operate an exchange service.

19. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes

19.1 If you experience an issue with your order, you agree to contact us directly before raising a dispute.

19.2 We may provide relevant information to payment providers to resolve disputes.

19.3 Nothing in this clause affects your statutory rights.

20. Website Use

20.1 We do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the Website.

20.2 All intellectual property rights in the Website and its content belong to us or our licensors.

21. Personal Information

21.1 We use personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

22. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

22.1 These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

22.2 Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
